Amazon Launches Agentic AI Assistant for Third-Party Sellers

Amazon has introduced a groundbreaking AI-driven tool, the Agentic AI Assistant, aimed at streamlining operations for third-party sellers on its platform. This innovation, showcased during the annual Accelerate conference in Seattle, transforms the existing Seller Assistant into a proactive system capable of making decisions and taking actions on behalf of sellers.

The Agentic AI Assistant operates on Amazon Bedrock, utilizing a combination of Amazon's proprietary Nova models and Anthropic's Claude models. This integration allows the system to leverage Amazon's extensive marketplace knowledge alongside Claude's advanced reasoning capabilities.

Key features of the tool include:

• Inventory Optimization: The system actively monitors stock levels, alerting sellers to potential shortages or overstock situations.
• Compliance Monitoring: It keeps track of policy changes and listing issues, notifying sellers before they lead to suspensions.
• Advertising Management: Sellers can automate the creation and management of advertising campaigns.
• Strategic Growth Recommendations: The tool provides insights based on marketplace trends, drawing from nearly 25 years of seller data.

While the system automates many tasks, it still requires seller authorization before executing any actions. The Agentic AI Assistant is available to all US sellers at no additional cost, with plans for international expansion in the future.

With third-party sellers accounting for over 60% of all sales on Amazon, the introduction of this AI tool is poised to significantly enhance seller efficiency. Previous generative AI tools from Amazon had already engaged around 1.3 million sellers, with reports indicating that sellers accepted AI-generated recommendations nearly 90% of the time.
