This analysis highlights significant discrepancies in the reported figures due to varying definitions and methodologies used in different surveys.

According to the findings, a McKinsey survey from 2025 indicated that while 62 percent of organizations were experimenting with AI agents, only 23 percent had scaled their use within the company, and in any single business function, the actual usage was capped at 10 percent. In contrast, a PwC survey from April 2025 reported that 79 percent of U.S. executives claimed their companies were adopting AI agents.
