Chelsea Football Club has sanctioned the sale of Enzo Fernandez to Manchester City for a staggering £125 million on the final day of the summer transfer window. This transaction not only sets a new record for the club but also nets them an impressive £18 million profit, as Fernandez was acquired from Benfica for £107 million just over three years ago.

The deal matches the British transfer record previously established by Liverpool’s acquisition of Alexander Isak. Initially, Chelsea had set a £120 million valuation on Fernandez and a deadline of 5 PM UK time on August 14 for bids. However, as the deadline passed without a completed deal, Manchester City renewed their interest in the player.
