Geely Sweden CEO Per Ansgar Joins Concordium Board to Enhance AI Agent Trust

The Concordium Foundation has announced the appointment of Per Ansgar, the CEO of Geely Sweden Holdings AB, to its board. This move aims to bolster the blockchain platform's efforts in developing infrastructure for verified digital interactions and autonomous AI agents.

Ansgar's extensive experience, spanning over 26 years in the automotive and financial sectors, is expected to enhance Concordium’s governance as the company expands its focus on verified AI agents. His previous roles include senior positions at Volvo Cars and Polestar, and he has been instrumental in deepening the partnership between Concordium and Geely, which began in 2021.

The collaboration between Concordium and Geely initially centered on autonomous driving and has evolved to include applications where vehicles can autonomously interact with infrastructure for transactions, such as tolls and service payments. As AI technology advances, Concordium is developing systems to ensure accountability and verification of AI agents involved in transactions.

Concordium's infrastructure aims to provide verifiable identities for AI agents, allowing counterparties to confirm that an agent is authorized by a verified human or organization. Since launching its Agent Registry in May 2026, Concordium has registered over 1,600 AI agents, each linked to a verified owner.

Ansgar's addition to the board is seen as a strategic move to integrate senior leadership from Geely into Concordium’s framework, facilitating the transition towards a model where vehicles and AI agents can conduct transactions while remaining accountable to identifiable owners.
