Interactive Brokers Launches Ethereum Staking Service for Clients

Cryptelio Editorial Published 13 Oct 2026 · 14:32 UTC

Interactive Brokers, a Nasdaq-listed brokerage, has officially launched a cryptocurrency staking service, starting with Ethereum. This new offering enables eligible clients to stake their Ethereum through a dedicated Staking Dashboard integrated into the Client Portal, effective October 13, 2026.

The service, powered by digital asset infrastructure provider ZeroHash, allows clients to submit requests to stake or unstake their Ethereum and monitor their staking activities. Rewards are credited as additional staked Ethereum, allowing for compounding benefits over time. Clients retain at least 70% of the staking rewards, while the remainder goes to the service operators. Notably, there is no minimum staking amount, making it accessible for clients with smaller holdings.

However, the initial rollout excludes residents from California, Maryland, New Jersey, and Wisconsin. This launch is part of Interactive Brokers' broader strategy to expand its digital asset offerings, which already include trading access to approximately 20 cryptocurrencies and stablecoin funding options.

CEO Milan Galik emphasized that this staking service is akin to their Stock Yield Enhancement Program, which allows clients to earn additional income on their stock holdings. The introduction of staking services reflects a growing institutional interest in yield-generating crypto assets and positions Interactive Brokers as a significant player in the evolving cryptocurrency market.
