Kraken Sets August 27 Deadline for Withdrawal of 21 Delisted Tokens

Kraken is approaching the end of its latest delisting cycle, with a critical deadline set for August 27 at 14:00 UTC. Clients holding any of the 21 affected tokens must withdraw their assets by this time, or they risk losing control over their holdings as the exchange prepares to liquidate remaining balances.

The tokens affected by this delisting include AURA, BIT, BOND, BSX, FARM, GARI, K, KET, KINTO, LOBO, MOON, MV, NYM, RAIIN, RHEA, SAROS, SDN, SPC, SPICE, TEA, and TEER. Kraken halted trading and deposits for these assets on May 29, marking the beginning of the delisting process.

After the August 27 deadline, Kraken will automatically liquidate any remaining balances between September 1 and September 5. The exchange has cautioned that many of these tokens may have limited or inactive markets, which could lead to poor execution prices during liquidation. In some cases, insufficient liquidity might result in minimal or no proceeds for holders.

Particularly concerning is the status of the TEER token, as Kraken has indicated that the project has ceased operations, and on-chain transactions are no longer functional. Consequently, holders of TEER have no options beyond the liquidation process dictated by Kraken.

For those holding any of the delisted tokens, the August 27 deadline represents the last chance to manage their exit strategy. After this date, Kraken will determine the timing and pricing of liquidations, leaving users vulnerable to unfavorable market conditions.
