Lyte Secures $165M Funding, Triples Valuation to $1.6B in Just Eight Months

Lyte, a robotics and artificial intelligence startup based in Mountain View, California, has successfully closed a $165 million funding round, increasing its valuation to $1.6 billion—three times its previous worth. This funding round was co-led by Maverick Silicon, with participation from Fidelity Management & Research, Atreides Management, Key1 Capital, and Ora Global.

Since its founding in 2021, Lyte has raised a total of $272 million. The company emerged from stealth mode on January 5, 2026, with an initial $107 million in funding. Founded by Alexander Shpunt, who previously worked on Apple’s Face ID technology, Lyte has quickly established itself in the AI hardware market.

Lyte’s flagship product, LyteVision, is a perception system designed for robotics and AI applications, which recently won the CES 2026 Best of Innovation Award in the Robotics category. The diverse investor lineup, including major asset managers and specialized tech investors, underscores the growing interest in AI hardware, particularly in integrated perception systems that combine sensor technology with real-time data interpretation.
