RUM Group Secures $13.7B AI Compute Contract with Anthropic for Maysville Data Center

RUM Group, previously known as Rumble, has entered into a substantial six-year GPU services agreement with Anthropic, valued at up to $13.7 billion. This landmark contract is tied to a data center currently under construction in Maysville, Georgia, and has led to a notable surge in RUM shares, which rose by as much as 28% in premarket trading following the identification of Anthropic as the client.

The deal was initially disclosed in an SEC filing on August 24, 2026, without naming the customer. However, reports emerged between September 13 and 14, revealing Anthropic as the counterparty, which triggered the stock price increase. The agreement includes a provision allowing Anthropic to purchase approximately 50.81 million Class A RUM shares at an exercise price of $0.01 per share, contingent upon GPU purchase volumes and additional capacity commitments.

The Maysville facility is designed to have a power capacity of 120 MW, with potential expansion to 180 MW, and is expected to commence operations in early 2027. This contract represents a significant step for RUM Group as it transitions into the AI infrastructure sector, following its acquisition of Northern Data, which added approximately 22,000 Nvidia Hopper GPUs to its portfolio.

Looking ahead, the timeline for the Maysville data center's completion is crucial for RUM to start recognizing revenue from the deal. Additionally, the company may need to secure substantial capital through various financing methods to support the infrastructure buildout and GPU purchases required for the agreement.
