Salesforce Reports Strong Q2 2027 Earnings Driven by AI Platform Agentforce

Salesforce has reported its fiscal Q2 2027 earnings, revealing a revenue of $11.35 billion, marking an 11% year-over-year increase that surpassed analyst expectations. The company’s shares surged approximately 11% in after-hours trading following the announcement.

The standout performer in this quarter was Agentforce, Salesforce’s AI-powered automation platform. Its annual recurring revenue (ARR) exceeded $1.5 billion, reflecting a staggering 240% increase compared to the previous year. When combined with Data 360, the total ARR approached $3.9 billion, a 210% rise from last year.

Salesforce also reported impressive usage metrics, delivering 3.2 billion total Agentic Work Units during the quarter, a 97% increase from the prior quarter. The company’s current remaining performance obligations grew by 14% year-on-year to $33.5 billion.

Additionally, Salesforce benefitted from a $2.6 billion unrealized gain from its investment in Anthropic, the AI startup behind the Claude models, which has seen its valuation soar.

In light of these results, Salesforce raised its full-year fiscal 2027 revenue guidance by $200 million, now projecting revenues between $46.1 billion and $46.4 billion, indicating sustained confidence in its growth trajectory.
