Strive and Strategy Acquire $232 Million in Bitcoin, Expanding Corporate Holdings

Strive Inc. and Strategy have made headlines with their latest Bitcoin acquisitions, totaling 2,773 BTC worth around $232 million. This move underscores a growing trend among public companies to reassess their balance sheets through Bitcoin investments.

Strive, co-founded by Vivek Ramaswamy and led by CEO Matt Cole, acquired 1,800 BTC for about $143 million, averaging $79,431 per Bitcoin. This follows an earlier purchase of 2,500 BTC for roughly $185 million, bringing Strive's total holdings to approximately 25,000 BTC, making it the fifth largest public corporate holder of Bitcoin globally.

Strategy, under the ticker MSTR, remains the largest corporate Bitcoin holder, having added 4,603 BTC valued at around $370 million in late August. While Strive utilizes a debt-free funding strategy through its Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Preferred Stock, Strategy has occasionally sold portions of its holdings to finance acquisitions.

Both companies provide transparency through SEC filings, disclosing metrics like Bitcoin yield to help investors assess the performance of their treasury strategies. As they continue to grow their Bitcoin reserves, the corporate treasury race has evolved from a mere experiment into a recognized asset class strategy.
