Uniswap Achieves $1.5B in Stock Token Trading on Robinhood Chain in Six Weeks

Uniswap has made headlines by processing around $1.5 billion in stock token trades on Robinhood Chain within just six weeks of its public mainnet launch on July 1, 2026. This remarkable achievement marks a significant milestone in the world of decentralized finance (DeFi), particularly as trading volume continues to rise.

By mid-August 2026, cumulative trading volume had already surpassed $1 billion, and on August 29, Uniswap recorded a peak of $130 million in stock token volume in a single day. The Robinhood Chain, built as a Layer-2 using Arbitrum’s technology, features a core product known as Robinhood Stock Tokens. These ERC-20 tokenized debt securities provide holders with economic exposure to major U.S. equities and ETFs.

Currently, there are over 190 of these tokens available for trading, including popular stocks such as Apple, Nvidia, and Google. Uniswap's integration at launch allowed it to control approximately 99% of the tokenized stock decentralized exchange (DEX) liquidity on Robinhood Chain, creating a significant first-mover advantage.

Notably, around 60% of stock token trading on Uniswap occurs outside traditional U.S. market hours, catering to a demand for trading tokenized U.S. equities during times when the New York Stock Exchange is closed. This flexibility is a key factor driving the popularity of Robinhood Stock Tokens.

While other projects like Ondo Finance and Securitize are developing tokenized securities infrastructure, none have paired a well-known brokerage with a dominant DeFi protocol on a dedicated chain, solidifying Uniswap's position in this emerging market.
