Carbon Unveils TradFi-Centric On-Chain Derivatives Platform
Carbon has officially launched its on-chain derivatives venue, which now features more than 950 tradeable markets, including over 250 traditional finance (TradFi) assets. This innovative platform allows traders to access a wide array of financial instruments from a single account, merging the worlds of crypto and traditional finance.
The new offering includes 530+ crypto perpetuals and 150 real-world assets (RWAs) available for trading around the clock. Each position in the TradFi markets is hedged 1:1 at regulated venues, ensuring that traders benefit from institutional-grade liquidity and depth from the outset.
According to Levy, Co-founder and CEO of Carbon, "Traders have had to choose between the assets they want and the execution they need. Carbon ends that trade-off. Every position is hedged into the deepest liquidity in the world and settles in the trader’s own wallet, with 950+ markets in a single account." This structure aims to eliminate the cold-start problem that has previously hindered the integration of real-world assets on-chain.
Carbon's platform connects to a substantial global market, clearing over $1.5 trillion daily in contracts for difference (CFDs) across various markets. The launch also introduces the Carbon Liquidity Provider (CLP) vault, which offers a delta-neutral yield product designed to fund hedges behind trader flow.
David Garcia, Ecosystem Lead at Arbitrum Foundation, emphasized the importance of deep liquidity in bringing traditional assets on-chain, stating, "Carbon is operating an architecture that connects on-chain trading with established market infrastructure while preserving self-custody." With this launch, Carbon aims to redefine the landscape of on-chain trading.
