X Launches Cashtag Partner Program for Direct Trading Access in the US

X has officially launched the Cashtag Partner Program in the United States, allowing users to transition from financial discussions on the platform to trading through partner brokerages. This initiative, which debuted on Tuesday, includes brokerage partners such as Interactive Brokers, Moomoo, Gemini, Kraken, and Coinbase.

Monique Pintarelli, head of global advertising at SpaceXAI, emphasized the program's goal of linking financial conversations with actionable trading opportunities. Users can interact with Cashtags—interactive pages that convert ticker symbols for stocks, ETFs, and cryptocurrencies—providing real-time market data and related posts.

With the new feature, users can click on a supported Cashtag to view price charts and discussions, then select a brokerage partner to log in or create an account to execute trades. David Farmer, vice president of product at Coinbase, noted that this integration aims to facilitate quick decision-making and trading in the fast-paced crypto markets.

The launch of the Cashtag Partner Program marks a significant step in X's expansion into financial services, enhancing the platform's role in connecting users with trading capabilities directly from their discussions.
